scrapbooking tips and techniques
What scrapbooking tips would you offer a first-time scrapbooker?
My mom always scrapbooks and loves it. I was looking at all her books, and cute paper and supplies and decided I want to make my own.
I’m 16 years old. This Summer we’re going on a few vacations & I want to make my first scrapbook.
Anyone have any tips? What should I put on my pages, what techniques do you like, etc.
Anything would help!

I’m a digital scrapbooker who makes my scrapbook pages online at CropMom at http://www.cropmom.com, then purchases the print-quality JPEG files and prints them out.
Here are some of my tips:
You do not need to use every single photo in a layout. Instead, just pick out the best photos.
Make an album of 20 layouts with a unifying theme. For instance, use the same scrapbook kit or papers on each page to achieve a uniform look.
Put a title on every page, or every other page if you’re creating an album.
I personally like anywhere from 1 to 3 photos per page, sometimes going up to 5 photos on a page.
Put some journaling on each page to describe the photos or your experience.
