Baby scrapbook layouts can make a wonderful nostalgic gift for a new mom. Remember those baby books of yesterday? This ain’t your mama’s baby book! All right, maybe it is. But it’s not your grandmother’s baby book! All right, maybe it is. But it’s not your grandmother’s baby book!
Having a baby is a wondrous, profound, and exciting time. When a new baby is around almost anything they do is memorable day-to-day, week-to-week. Even though they may feel a tad overwhelmed, all new mothers want to record their little one’s milestones
One of my favorite scrapbooking gift ideas for babies is a Baby’s First Year scrapbook. This book will have a two-page layout for each month of baby’s first year.
After deciding and purchasing the size album you want to use, settle on a few solid colors and coordinating paper designs to make preparing the album quick and easy. Stamp some adorable baby images to include on the corners of your pages (or you can use die-cuts or stickers, ribbon or buttons), and stamp or print your titles for each month: First Month, Second Month, etc. Create some word and phrase strips or tags for those first year memories, such as First Word, First Tooth, First Time Rolling Over, Favorite Foods, Favorite Toy, etc. And don’t forget to dress those up a little, too!
Now all your friend will have to do is add pictures each month along with some of the phrase strips and tags you thoughtfully prepared ahead of time. After including some of her personal journaling she’ll easily complete her Baby’s First Year scrapbook with just a little bit of time each month. And I’m sure she will appreciate your beautiful gift for years to come.
