Cricut Cartridge Nip

If you are interested in the sport of paintball but do not want to pay for a paintball gun, do not think your chances of playing the game are over. Instead, consider making your own paintball gun.. If you look around the house and at local hardware stores, you can find the supplies you need to play this age-old game for a fraction of the price it would cost you to buy one of these guns.

You will need:

A tire replacement valve

¾” PVC ball valve

¾” PVC nipple

¾” PVC reducer

1″ PVC end cap

Two 1″ PVC tees (Be sure to mark one of these Z and one of these Y. Then, mark the straight ends of the tees as Z1 and Z2 and Y1 and Y2. When it comes to the perpendicular ends, mark these Z3 and Z4)

Two 1″ PVC elbows

One 1″ PVC (The length depends on the length you want your paintball gun barrel to be)

One ¾” PVC barrel (i.e. equal to the length above).

Cement

Primer

Plumber’s tape

Glue

Nail driller

Plumber’s saw

To make your own paintball gun, you will first cut and prepare your materials. You want to cur two foot-long pieces from the 1″ PVC and you want to make sure that these are equal in length so they are easy to connect later in the process.

Next, insulate the ends (i.e. cover any threads with plumber’s tape).

To assemble the structure of the gun, take one of the foot-long pieces of the 1″ PVC you cut and attach 2 PVC elbows on each end. Use the primer and cement to attach these pieces. Take the other piece and attach two PVC tees again using the primer and cement. You want the end of the tee marked as Z3 to one end of the PVC and the one marked Y1 on the other end.

Once this is done, you want to connect the pieces of PVC at both ends using the primer and cement. You should now have a box shape.

Next, you want to attach a nipple to the Y2 tee and then screw the ball valve to the nipple. To attach the barrel, you want to take the barrel and screw it to the ball valve.

It is now time to fix the tire valve. Drill a hole in the end cap so that it is big enough for the tire valve. Fix the valve into the end cap and attach using glue, lots of it.

Keep going! You are almost finished making your gun! Next, you want to cut a piece of the 1″ PVC that is about 9″ long. You will then take the end of the tee labeled Z2and cement it to the PVC. Now, cement the end cap with the PVC you just attached.

You are done! Let the gun for 2 to 3 days before using it.
