My parents have US immigration Visa. Cant they extend the six months period to come to US immigrating?
My parents have F41 US immigration Visa cleared and they have to be in the US with in 6 (six) months of the Visa stamped date. Due to family situiation and other business settlement, they need more time. Can they extend the six months period on the VISA? I Know that they can not go back from US for next six months once they step in with immigration VISA. Can some one have a though please..?
They could possibly be reissued, but the visas can’t be extended. they need to talk to the embassy or consulate that issued them as quickly as possible once they figure out when they actually intend to go. The immigrant visa section doesn’t hold on to the various forms for long. Many of the supporting documents are only good for a maximum of 12 months and may have to be resubmitted depending on how far in advance of the issue date of the visas they were submitted. Plus, this wouldn’t be done for free.
