brown scrapbooking paper

The scrapbooking hobby is a lot of fun… however it does require some preparation. Here I will break down the scrapbooking preparation process into three parts.
1. Mindset – Scrapbooking is a way of organizing our experience. When you child goes to school, you may decide to collect all of the photos and mementos you can, and then think of fun and interesting ways to combine them all together into a beautiful piece of art. Without this mindset, a great scrapbook cannot be made. This is why it is necessary to gain a mental appreciation for everything in life – the large, the small, the mundane. You may not have thought that a ticket stub or pamphlet could have been interesting before… but just imagine how good it would look in a brown scrapbook with a red and yellow background. Also, think of how much joy you will get from it 10 years down the road. Scrapbooking instill sthis mindset into you, and it is, by far, the most important point of preparation for the scrapbooking hobby.
2. Ideas – Scrapbooking ideas are incredibly important. In the last section, we talked about making a scrapbook around the theme of “school”. In the same way, each scrapbook should generally have a theme or event it is organized around. Otherwise, it comes across as messy, hodgepodge, disorganized. Because of this, each scrapbook should have an idea associated with it. Write up a large list of ideas or events you would like to tackle. You’re almost there!
3. Materials – In many ways, this is the fun part! Go to the store and look at all the different paper thicknesses and colors. Find an album that fits your tastes, and your idea. Look around at the glues and pick the ones that are the least acidic, and the most reliable. In this shopping spree you should get:
- an album
- an adhesive (acid free)
- pens (acid free ink)
- scissors
- paper (acid free)
In addition to these items, you want to collect all of the mementos you can! Grab photos galore and then sit down for a treat – you’ll love making these scrapbooks.

Im looking for a store near Hauppauge NY that sells brown paper bags a bit larger then deli size for scrapbook
This is for all the crafty people outthere I am looking for store that sells brown paper bags a little larger then deli size for scrapbooking
I’ve never scrapbooked so I don’t understand about the bags. If you cut them apart for the paper, you can buy kraft paper at many places that sell mailing, moving or storage supplies. You could probably check the post office or mailboxes etc.
If they definitely need to be bags, you can try this site:
http://www.fetpak.com/whstore/main.pl/fl?63
They have a warehouse and offices in Commack NY but they may only sell through the website.
http://www.bagsonthenet.com/store/home.php?cat=1
is in Bohemia NY but again, they may only sell through the internet.
Since those sites may only deal in very large amounts, you might check here to see if they have what you’re looking for or can suggest a source:

is a scrapbooking store in Bayside NY
Good luck and happy scrapbooking.
